Accessability Statement

Accessibility Statement

At Smart SEO Plans, we believe in digital inclusivity. We are dedicated to making our website user-friendly and accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We strive for high accessibility standards but want to be transparent about areas where we’re still improving.

Current Compliance Status

Our site is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard. While we make every effort to meet these guidelines, some areas may not fully conform at the moment. Examples include:

  • Some PDF or document files may not be fully screen-reader compatible.

  • Certain visual elements could have issues with keyboard navigation or focus indicators.
These limitations are due to resource constraints, but we are actively working to resolve each one.

Standards We Follow

We base our accessibility practices on global and UK guidelines including:

  • WCAG 2.2 AA, as recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)

  • BS 8878, the British standard for embedding accessibility processes into web design and development workflows

Why Accessibility Matters

Although private-sector websites like ours aren’t legally mandated to comply fully under UK laws, the Equality Act 2010 expects all organizations to make “reasonable adjustments” for users with disabilities. Inaccessible websites could be considered discriminatory under this act.

More broadly, the European Accessibility Act (EAA), effective from June 28, 2025, sets stricter digital accessibility standards across the EU, including for service providers outside the EU that serve EU-based users

Ongoing Improvements

To address the accessibility gaps, we have:

  • Commissioned periodic accessibility audits against WCAG 2.2 AA

  • A roadmap in place to improve keyboard navigation, alt text descriptions, and screen-reader compatibility

  • Plans to update document formats and media for better accessibility
